Instruction

The usage of lamps
Salt lamps are intended for indoor use only. Salt crystals have high hygroscopic properties, i.e. their attract water molecules from the atmosphere, so that they should be used in dry rooms. If the humidity in the room increases, e.g. during rain, the lamp should be switched on. By heating the salt crystal by the bulb inside, the water molecules evaporate from the surface of the crystal..
Warning! If the lamp is to be stored in damp conditions for a longer time (e.g. in a garage, in the trunk of during rain, etc.), the lamp shall be secured with a tightly sealed foil bag.

Using lamps in rooms and offices
While using salt lamps in those places one shall pay attention to few rules. Firstly, if the lamp is damp, the water condensing on the surface of the crystal may drip onto the surface, on which the lamp is placed and this may cause the damage to such surface (e.g. discoloration or warping of the wooden surface of the furniture). By placing a lamp on surfaces that may be damaged (e.g. antique furniture), one shall place additional surface protection under the lamp (such as a waterproof plastic napkin, cork stand etc.). Above all, one shall keep in mind that if the humidity increases the lamp shall be switched off. Secondly, if there are small children and pets in rooms where the salt lamps are located, one shall avoid placing lamps on the edges of the furniture and in such a way that the lamp's electrical wire will be out of the reach of a child. The lamp shall be placed in such a way that there is no risk of falling down.

Pets
Sometimes pets (especially dogs) instinctively lick a lamp to supplement minerals in their bodies. A salt lamp is not intended for consumption; however, it consists of 100% natural salt, and therefore it is not harmful to pets.
